In 2013, the Northwest Colorado Legal Services Project (NCLSP) will carry forward the past changes made to the Legal Advice Clinic in Summit County. The NLCP will conduct them on the first Thursday of each month from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Additionally, the clinics will still be held at the Colorado Workforce Center on 602 Galena Street in Frisco. NCLSP will continue asking clinic attendees to apply in advance. By having applications beforehand, all the information will be in a file for volunteer attorneys, including documents such as court papers, leases, and the like. Attorneys will receive an email prior to the Clinic with: (1) names of applicant & adverse parties so you run a prior conflict check; and (2) the number of scheduled appointments so you’ll have a better idea of your time commitment. Of course, applicants will be pre-screened to ensure they qualify for NCLSP services. Each applicant will be given a half-hour appointment, so there will be a maximum of 6 applicants seen at each Clinic. At the Workforce Center, NCLSP will have access to the internet and be able to print out things like court forms to hand to applicants during their visit. Current statutes will be available! If you’re an attorney & want to volunteer for an open slot, please submit the form at the bottom of this page.
